We at A&P Orchids started growing Phals and Paphs over 30 years ago. In 1985 we acquired the Mt. Madonna Orchids (Bob Jones) collection. We have been hybridizing, growing, flowering, and selecting plant material of the flowering generations. We have had our share of growing pains and came out he wiser. Our growing is now state-of-the-art and we dare say we have assembled one of the best and all inclusive Phalaenopsis and Paphiopedilum collections.
We have received well over 100 AOS awards in the past five years, but we have not pursued them with any vigor. We have started flowering more and more of our seedlings and are overall pleased with our efforts. A lot of our parent plants are unique to us and we try very hard to use them wisely. Our major interest is in phals- standard white and novelty hybrids, but we love them all and work with them. First and foremost we are plantsmen, and I have been growing plants for almost sixty years.
